How Much Do Instagram Influencers Charge for Sponsored Posts?

We surveyed 1,200 creators to find out what Instagram influencers charge for Reels, static posts, carousels, and Stories. See median rates by follower tier and content niche.
US creator economy ad spend is projected to hit $43.9 billion in 2026, and Instagram remains the platform where most of that budget lands. But more spending doesn't mean more pay transparency. Most brands are still guessing when it comes to Instagram creator rates.
So what does Instagram creator pricing really look like in 2026?
We surveyed nearly 1,200 creators to share exactly what they charge. Here's what the data looks like for Instagram, broken down by deliverable type, follower tier, and niche.

Important note: All benchmarks here reflect base flat-fee rates only and do not account for content usage rights, exclusivity clauses, or other deal terms that can add to the total cost of a partnership. Use this data as directional guidance for budgeting and negotiations, not as a fixed rate card.
Instagram Reels
Instagram Reels account for over 50% of all time spent on Instagram and generate 200 billion daily plays. It’s no surprise Reels are the most in-demand Instagram deliverable right now, and creators price them accordingly.
According to our survey data, Reels command the highest rates of any Instagram content type.

But creator pricing is not one-size-fits-all. Even within a single tier and content type, creator pricing spans a wide range. For example, a nano creator charges a median of $250 for an Instagram Reel, but rates in our nano sample ranged from $10 to nearly $1,000, with the middle 50% falling between $150 and $400.

Not every segment has a range this large, but this example illustrates how widely distributed rates can be within a single tier and deliverable type.
Static Feed Posts
Static posts are the original #sponsored content format. While they've taken a backseat to Reels in many campaign briefs, they remain a core deliverable, particularly for brands that want polished, high-quality imagery in their feed.
Static posts generally come in at about 50-60% of the equivalent Reel rate. For brands focused on evergreen content or product photography, they remain a cost-effective option.

Carousel Posts
Carousels sit between static posts and Reels in both pricing and production effort. They give creators more space to tell a story, walk through product features, or share a tutorial, which makes them a strong fit for educational and how-to content.
Creators typically charge 25-33% more for carousel posts over static posts, reflecting the additional design work and slide-by-slide planning involved.

Instagram Stories
Stories are the most affordable Instagram deliverable, and for good reason. They're ephemeral, lower-production, and often used as add-ons rather than standalone content. But they play an important role in driving link clicks and direct engagement.

Many creators include a set of Stories as part of a larger content package rather than pricing them individually. If you're building a multi-deliverable campaign, Stories are often where you can negotiate the most flexibility.
Instagram Creator Pricing by Niche
Content niche also plays a meaningful role, and in some cases, it matters more than audience size.
Among Instagram creators in our survey, home design creators charge the highest median Reel rate at $1,500, followed by pet creators ($1,000) and travel creators ($750). Beauty creators, despite being the largest niche in our sample, charge the lowest median Reel rate at $225.

The gap comes down to audience purchasing power, content production demands, and commercial impact. Home design content is tied to high-value purchases and needs to feel premium and produced. Beauty content, by contrast, operates in a saturated market with lower price points and can often be created more quickly.
